Flamenco, originating in Northern India as a passionate mode of expression for travelling gypsies, is an enduring Spanish art form that speaks directly to the heart. Schooled in this complex form from childhood, Esmeralda Enrique epitomizes the individuality, clarity and sincerity of the true artist in her character and in her work. The innovative company she created is a driving force on the Canadian dance landscape. Esmeralda herself is a much loved and charismatic member of the Toronto dance community, a distinguished teacher and choreographer of international renown. Early booking is advised for this exciting ensemble’s performance at Novalis Hall.
